How about when people delete the original post after they get an answer(s) to their question? That's the one that gets to me.
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

I have a Bryce site with some tutorials (in spanish) and a lot of visitors send me e-mails asking bryce questions. I always answer, but only a 30 % use to say "thanks". On the other side, there are people that never make a question, but send me e-mails saying "thanks" only for the tutorials. Thats people... thats life... a phylosophical question ... Sometimes I think that people dont see you (the one that answer) as a real person, but only as a "bryce-machine" at the other side of the monitor. Maybe Quest is feeling now as a "bryce-machine" ;-)
Couldnt respond sooner to this post because it took 17 hours to scandisk my hard drive, and about another 2 hours to defragment. No, this is not a tease and no answer police is necessary nor any amendments need be made to the TOS. Its only common courtesy to acknowledge someone especially if they are trying to help you. Ive noticed that on some occasions a person comes in, uploads a post proclaiming they need help with something or they need comments on how to better a particular render and then falls off the face of the Earth and never returns to the post. Had the person come in unannounced, read the responds and left? Had they used any of the comments or advise? In any case, it is considered rude not to acknowledge willful help. People have gone out of their way and have taken the time to try and help. I think I would adopt Danamos mental note routine.
Ooooo, truss me up Ang? Promises, promises. ;))

Hey, Ang, Im gamed. As long as it isnt on Mothers Day (May 8th). Maybe we should post anew and see whos still interested. Dug up the old post where Boomer, ICM, Sackrat, Miden were interested in getting together. What ya think?I'm game also, and true Mother's day is sacred, so any other weekend. Hmmm I wonder why I get Boomer and Nukeboy mixed up. I think maybe its because they both are in protection type jobs. Oh well. If its a Saturday we decide on, I'll have to take time off from work, so the sooner I know the better. :-D Ok so who'll start a new thread?

Now, most people respond to their own posts, but some people it seems, tend to forget theyve posted. People need to respond when their posted questions are answered, when their questions arent answered to their satisfaction, when they agree, when they dont agree. Or have further questions or just simply to acknowledge those people who have taken the time to respond to them. One of the things that really irritates me is when volumes of people take the time out of their precious lives to respond to someones problems or questions, often times essays written, only to lay there without even as much of an acknowledgment from the originator of the post. Of course there are times when things cannot be helped, and folks cannot make it to a computer to post, and those times are understandable. But remember, people take time out of their lives here to help others. Be considerate of other peoples time. Pet peeve # 469
