First no information about the special coupon for Poser 5 preorders (why not have informations on their website if they had not all informations from egisys?) Then they send me the special couponcode, but got it after ordering Poser 6. So I tried to change the order. System said: Sorry, too late. So I mailed to Curious Labs again and again and to Digital River. Nobody helped me with it. So I had a coupon code but could not use it.
Today Poser 6 SE arrived here.
Online invoice said: 126.33 Euro
Printed invoice said: 147.03 Euro
This is not funny anymore!

I've got the same problem Online invoice said: 97.10 Printed invoice said: 112.61 All i can do is wait until i recieve my CC bill and check it. If it's 112.61 then it's not funny either because i ordered it when it was first anounced and had terrible problems with my serial number. By the way the serial number problem has been afferting them for some time because i tried several months ago to upgrade to P5, before anyone says anything i purchased ProPack as a download from them so the serial number is real and given to me by them. I got the discount too late also :-( I asked if they could apply it just the same (my CC wasn't still charged then), but they said they couldn't :-(

And so it all begins again, Will CL ever learn how to treat customers or maybe they are so important they can just treat us all like shit, I have upgraded Poser since V3 but i wont be getting P6 unless i get it second hand, Which by the sounds of the non-superfans wont be too hard in a couple of months. Before anyone says anything i like the idea of Poser and think that it has very nearly become a useable product in production, Shame is too much emphasis on this release was given over to rendering which is no use to anyone in a pro situation, Im keeping an eye closely on DS but that seems to not have the support off users to have any great impact on the scene, But it does have a very clean efficient workspace.

The problem with the invoices comes from the last minute "oops we had so many problems we are giving you a discount" discount. My bank acct was charged $119 and change but my written invoice stated something close to $149.

On the other side of things, I got the box with a defective disk. Emailed CL. Got an email back two days later asking for an addy for sending a replacement. No problems with pricing that I'm aware of -- only additional charge on my invoice was a shipping charge, which I knew was coming.

I'm a customer of Bungle1's, and I'm quite happy with his products and his service. He's Achilles over at DAZ, and makes the Head Sculpture Kits for V3, M3, David, SP, etc.
While many other similar products were not updated when the International Beauties version of V3 came out, the V3 Head Sculpture Kit was updated promptly. And unlike V3NewGen, it's easy to combine the new morphs with the standard ones. A lot of merchants could take lessons from Bungle1.

But I don't think that they are in the majority by a long shot.
A "perfect" software package -- should anyone ever succeed in creating one -- would still have its critics.
One or two entirely correctable (via service releases) flaws do not a failure make.
P6 is more than worth the money.

don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with posting specific complaints, it's just the vitriolic, caustic tone and attitude that I don't understand. I mean, what can that posibly contribute. CL DOES have a problem, and that is DR. Digital River is not warm and fuzzy. They are not necessarily brilliant. They are not flexible and quick to turn on a dime. I wish CL would hire a genius Customer support manager and bring fulfillment in house. There is a lot of grief associated with that, but significant upside. ::::: Opera :::::

The next time that you feel the urge to jump into a thread and express an opinion......consider the fact that others doing the same thing is what public forums are for.
And those opinions won't always fall into line with yours.
That's always a risk. A risk that I am willing to take quite often.
I don't waste my time complaining about the fact that someone else disagreed with me. I instead proceed to point out to them where they are wrong about something.

I had such a different experience with CL and DR on this preorder thing. I ordered the first day they took orders, and the system was not working. Both Digital River and CL have sent those of us like me numerous emails over the waiting time, but the notable one was when they apologised right off for the ordering snags and gave everyone who had ordered that day a small discount. It wasn't that much, I thought, but did send the message that they are trying. It's just my opinion and observation, but it seemed like the whole thing of DR collecting money for a product before it is available is mostly new to them and they were not set up for it. That probably next time they'd do better. Next time I'd ask myself if I'm ready to be a beta tester, but I'm pretty sure I'd tell myself yes. I'm a glutton for the punishment of trying out software. LOL

That little discount was what caused the problems with what the email says was charged and what the printed invoice in the box says was charged. Credit cards are being charged correctly. Nobody has been overcharged yet. Also, no one's card was charged immediately upon ordering. Every place you buy something from and use a credit card (local stores, internet, restaurants, etc), places a hold for that amount of money on your card so that they are sure to get their share. The hold shows up for a temporary time period (like 24 hours). It's not an actual charge and won't appear on the bill until it's totally cleared and done. I saw the temp hold on my own card (which is not a real credit card but a Visa ATM card) but still haven't seen where it was charged on my statement.

Sharp comments and disagreements about each other's opinions is one thing, but personal insults? With swearing? Not acceptable. To let it stand is not civil. The comment in post 16 should be deleted or the person should apologize. That is proper civil behavior. ::::: Opera :::::

that's fine as far as the rules of the forum go, although I am surprised at what is allowed, but no problem. But as far as what is right human being to human being...it is therefore surely not against TOS for the person to personally delete the post or apologize. ::::: Opera :::::

Seems the TOS means one thing to one mod and one thing to another, I dont mind the post being deleted if thats your rules but previously a mod had said no TOS violations had taken place, Very very strange behaviour.
