Go to Display/Guides and uncheck Ground Plane.

Thanks for asking the question. I wanted to know that too. And thanks for the answer.

Here is sort of the opposite question. How do I put a texture on the floor in P6 like I was able to in P5? In P5 the floor was sort of a prop. In P6 it just appears to be guidlines.

I'd like to know why I can't see the ground texture in preview? I have it set for full texture shaded.]I applied a material to the ground in the materials room, and made sure I had the ground set to visible, but I still couldn't see it :( Thanks

The Ground Plane in P6 has the "Shadow_Catch_Only" option turned on.

You need to goto the Material Room and uncheck the box.
You'll also need to reconnect the texture to the Diffuse input on the surface.

You'll also need to change the display style (Element Style) from "Wireframe" to "Use Document Default" or "Textured".

Thanks so much for all your info. Appreciate it. I am going from Poser 4 to Poser 6 and it sure is different. Didn't like Poser 5, it hung up my computer too much so I went back to Poser 4. BJ
