Hi everyone. Until recently, I have not had any issues with exporting poser files. I've been working on a scene recently, and wanted to use a landscape from terragen along with figures from Poser and finish it in Bryce. I went to export my Poser stuff as .lwo files, and... nothing. My "properties" dialogue opens (oddly), and no file is generated. The odd thing is that I can still totally manipulate the scene. It's not frozen, but my "File" and "Edit" menus are totally greyed out. I've tried exporting as nearly every file type, exporting everything from the "universe" to a finger, changing export settings, all with the same effect. I have two monitors set up, and I've seen that do wierd things with photoshop when I have tools open on both of them, so I tried leaving everything on one screen. Still nothing. My pops is sending out Poser 6 for me (woo-hoo!) this week, so worse case I wait and try exporting in 6, but I've already been on hold here for 5 days or so, and I want to keep working. Any ideas?

Is the scene saved as a Pz3?

If so try importing it into P5 (Empty scene) instead of opening it. Then try to export the scene again.

Tried it, failed! :( I tried just exporting the default scene, with Don just standing there hanging out, as well. No dice. I'm going to try a reinstall when I get home tonight, I think, unless anyone else has an awesome idea?

The only time I've seen the export/import menus gray out is when there are multiple copies of the import/export plugins under the poser directory.

Did you happen to duplicate those files to another folder for any reason?

You know, I shouldn't have, but I rebuilt my machine a while back and I'm not sure if I've tried exporting since then. I know I copied all my runtime files to a CD and just dropped them back when I installed Poser again. I may have duplicated them. Thanks for the idea, I'll check it at lunch and let you know!

Did duplication turn out to be the problem?

I couldn't find any duplicated files, but my copy of Poser 6 showed up a day or so later, solving my problem just fine. ;) Thank you for the advice, it is appreciated!
