Greetings, I'm creating a lighthouse animation whereby the lighthouse light (located offshore in ocean)rotates and illuminates the surrounding scenery. The problem is that when the light shines upon low clouds on the horizon, it creates a "light shining on a flat wall" effect. I've tweaked intensity, fall-off and such and I'm getting closer but would accept any advice available. No use reinventing the wheel! Thanks. raf

Depending on which version of Vue you have. 4Pro, 5E+light module, 5Infinite give access to 'light attenuation settings' (edit the light's shadows and lighting) there, you can tune the distance to which the light can travel before fading out. Also, quadratic spots have a shorter range than regular spots. Paul

Hi Paul - thanks for your response. I have V5I and will dig a little deeper into the settings - thanks for the heads up on quadratic spots. I may be closer to my desired result that I thought. raf
