Don't know of a specific place, but depending on what's needed, I'd be interested in helping you beta test. :) John

There's no beta-tester forum. A lot of people just post here in this forum that they're looking for beta testers.

There's a Beta Testers Classified section at Poser Pros: http://poserpros.daz3d.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=18&sid=cf1e98649e693d960da0a64040bfe618NocturnalRamble posted Tue, 12 April 2005 at 7:00 PM
Hi everyone. Thanks for the reply's. Now I need to ask. How does one beta test for textures. Would they not need the actual outfit as well. Thanks Heather

Yes, if it is a common item, the chances are high that someone has it and can test your textures

In order to test textures, one does need the pertinant figure or clothing item. These can not be redistributed (you can't give away something made by someone else), so you must find a person who already has the item. Therefore you usually say that you need testers "who have Koshini's wedding dress" (or whatever your texture is for) and then further specify "who can test on the Mac" or "who can test in P5-P6" or whatever your need is to be sure that it will unzip, fall into place, and look good across a broad spectrum. If you are in a narrow window of opportunity and need something tested immediately, or within the week, also specify the turn-around time so that a person doesn't volunteer unless they have the time. Communicate what it is that you are looking for: seams matching, poke-through, bad stretch marks, ability to look good on heavily-morphed figures, whatever. The more communication, the better. Remember also that there is a Product Showcase Forum and items for sale should be discussed and shown off there. Carolly

Okay thanks for all the replys and information. I have found a few who have the needed outfits ect. You all have been so great. Wow. I guess I should come here more often. Now to send out the message of what they need in order to test for me. Thanks again to you all. Heather
