I'm beginning to regret installing Poser 6. It seems to be the case that if you try and use Poser 5 to open a pz3 file saved in Poser 6, the file will be read, but all the morph data is lost. Further, none of the morph dials even work any more. I can't figure out why this should be at all. Why does it matter? Because if you open the file in Vue, the same thing happens - a big smile in Poser 6 is transformed to a blank expression in Vue. Since all my rendering is done in Vue these days, this is a big problem. A whole bunch of files are screwed up and I can't see how to get them back. If there was going to be a significant difference in the way data files are stored, why on earth couldn't that be flagged with a different extension? What's wrong with calling it a pz6 file? I'm seriously annoyed. I'm left with a project I can't complete until I can either somehow convert the pz3 files back into Poser 5 readability, or until e-on find out how to decipher Poser 6 files and release a patch for Vue - and how long is THAT going to be?

This is no bug, sometimes it is not a waste of time to read the manual ;-) Just go to the preferences menu, look there for a check box 'use external binary morph targets' and uncheck this box. Then the morph-data will be included in the pz3-file like in P5 and you will have there, if you open the file.

Excellent, thank you. My even temper is restored.
