I found these little tricks: If you want an ecosystem to surround a sphere use a mix material with 2 ecosystems but before you apply the 2nd ecosystem flip the object upside down. The 2nd trick is if you want to use pictures or tools that only work on non procedural terrains do so and then in the terrain editor switch back to procedural. It works most of the time and you can have the best of both terrrains features this way. If anyone has anything to add or subtract from these tricks please do so.

Thanks for the tricks, Pollee. I've FINALLY found the time to sit down and start using Infinite. I must say, the first time I used ecosystems today I was floored!

Me too. I can't stop experimenting. I have one big problem. Can you distribute objects in an ecosytem with a distance to object below node (similiar to shore foam tut by Monsoon)? I can't get it to work the same way?

Excellent tips Pollee.....you can distribute eco objects with a distance to object below node....Just make sure you have decay near foriegn object turned off...or it won't populate.
