Hi all! Be sure to check out this month's Tweak Fest (link above)! As always, please read the rules carefully, as they change from month to month :D Have fun! Nick

Hi Nick, glad to see we have another one up and running. Just a quick question. It's not mentioned in the rules so I thought I'd better ask in here. Are we allowed to change the density of the fractal?..

Yep, that would be okay :D

I have a question too . . . the rules say we are not allowed to do any post work . . . does that mean we can do absolutely nothing beyond resizing, not even sharpening or hue/saturation? Because the gradient on this one is looks pretty bland without a bit more saturation.

No postwork, meaning this is an Apophysis only Challenge :D You can tweak the gradient (just don't use a different one). You can use 'saturation' in the gradient editor :D

Thanks. I didn't realize the gradient editor had a saturation control. I've only been using Apo for about six weeks and I'm just starting to figure it all out. What an awesome program -- I am really hooked!

I gotta say: the starter flame is pretty nifty to begin with -- that's going to be hard to improve on...
