Saw Sin City, didnt think much of it accept for the style but that went stale after a short while. Now waiting to see Kingdom of Heaven with Orlando Bloom being released May 6.

Aye, it was very true to the graphic-novel feel, and of course Jessica Alba was wonderful. Can't help but wish it had some kind of plot, but again, that's part of the deal! Very well done, but it put my lady love to sleep...

I got some friend-ly industry connections here in Los Angeles/Hollywood, so....I sometimes get invites from friends to screen movies that aren't quite out yet... So...here's some future movie theater suggestions; "Kung Fu Hustle" - Go see this, period. "Layer Cake" - sometimes funny, mostly serious british-type gangster movie. Worth checking out, imho. "Mindhunters" - you may want to rent this one, but worth a rent. I'd mention others, but I might be risking jail time, lol. (btw, Ridley Scott has (again) mentioned he would direct an Aliens 5 movie if the script was good)(hopehope) AgentSmith

If you like "Kung Fu Hustle" you should see "Shoulin Soccer' made by same people and most of the actors are in it too. No I dont have connections in the industry, but have friends who travel to China and bring me back the latest movies. I saw Kung Fu Hustle more than a Year ago and that other Hung-Bok or whatever its called more than two years ago. I'm amazed how long it takes for these movies to make it to hour parts of the world. I cant wait for Kung Fu hustle to be released here so I can read the subttitles. The original is visual enough to understand what is going on but i'm sure it will be funnier once we get the translation subtitles.
AgentSmith posted Fri, 15 April 2005 at 5:54 AM
Oh, yes...Shaolin Soccer is way cool/funny. (same director as Kung Fu Hustle) Yup, USA release of Kung Fu Hustle will be subtitled, wish it would be audio dubbed, but I'm used to reading movies, lol. AS

Gillbrooks, OMG, that is amazing, I am a huge Orlando Bloom fan, and that just blows me away, I think i will have to put that on my desktop if you dont mind! Im so looking forward to the movie Kingdom of Heaven, it looks fantastic from all the trailers I have seen, will wait for Sin city, looks a little cartoonish for me, but...will see.

(shakes his head at Star-Wars talk) A bit too softcore for my evil self, but the news of Ridley Scott has me drooling (acid!)!!!

Hmm, I'll bet that a Blade Runner remake or sequel is just around the corner yet.
AgentSmith posted Sat, 16 April 2005 at 6:04 AM
Ridley has said from time to time he would do another sci-fi film (I don't about another blade runner), but only if the script was good. Sigourney is up for another aliens, IF (and especially if)Ridley directs. He actually IS trying to get a sequel done to "Gladiator" (ugh)...I really liked Gladiator, but methinks it would be a bad idea to go back with no russel crowe and his character. AS

Is this X-men 3 thing real? Constantine 2? Halo and Metroid movies?
AgentSmith posted Sat, 16 April 2005 at 9:59 PM
What X-men 3 thing? X-men 3 WILL happen, but the original director has moved on to do the new Superman movie. Not sure exactly what prior actors will return. A "Wolverine" spin-off movie is supposed to be in negotiations. Constantine 2 was inked to happen after the first weekend box office sales of the first Constantine. Halo? Probably. Metroid? More of a longshot there. But, they will both have a better chance of actually happening after "The Rock"'s video-game-to-film "Doom" comes out. He's also doing "Spy Hunter" (from that older video game) AS
