Do you have any ideas about a background? I have a few but am always open to suggestions :) I don't want anything overwhelming that takes away from the figure. Something simple and mute that will add to the ambiance without distracting the eye. I'm a firm believer of "less is more" when it comes to art. I like having a focal point for the eye.

She looks lovely! Maybe a sky background or something, I usually have these problems myself to choose a background =)

I think it looks like she's standing in the moonlight personally. Congratulations on your accomplishment.

Cool renders! And I actually like that black background. Lends mystery to the image. She looks very sad, seems to ask the vieer "Why?". A shrine could be a good environment addition. Congrats, this looks great!

Thank you!!! I've been so embarassed to post anything because I see so many great images in the gallery that are far superior to anything I could imagine myself doing, but when I did this one, I was so excited that I just had to post it :) Some good ideas regarding background; they've given me an excellent idea. Now to see if I can effectively pull the image from my head as I see it. I'm thinking along the lines of ghosting memories, perhaps a moonlight night in a cemetary and a handsome ghostly man standing watching her, or even appearing to be walking away glancing back at her. Eeek!!! I'm excited now, watch out, LOL

Great job. She looks a bit Italian or Spanish. ...a moonlit ocean behind her would be nice. Like she was at a party held on a cliff in greece.

Well, after trying a variety of backgrounds and effects, I settled for the "less is more" and just added a bit of lighting to the background in PSP and framed it in black and gold. It's posted in my gallery if anyone wants to see the final result.

I just checked out your final render and was impressed. While reading the posts here I was thinking about my background in photography. I was leaning towards a gradient blue background but I think you made the right choice staying with the black and just applying some lighting. I think that adding anything else would have detracted from the simple elegance.
