After years of refusing to learn how to model. I've given up. Spent the day with Wings3d. This tower is what I got for it. It's modeled after the Lewis and Clark Tower which is being built on my drive to work. Thanks to the guys at #rendergods for jumping in when I had a crisis. Special thanks to Pauljs75 for letting me know how big a cube (2x2x2) is, and to Drac for telling me how to delete a vertex. (the delete key)

great start.

"Reinstall Windows" is NOT a troubleshooting step.

There's a hole in that building, dear xenic, dear xenic.... sung to the tune of "There's a hole in the bucket" or whatever that song's called Although I guess that would make it less annoying for being built on your drive to work, you can just sorta go through. Ok, so I've got no useful comments, but I think the sky's cool.

looks fine by me..just some stairs, which are really easy.
Pakleds easy stairs tut-
Create a cube
Scale radial axis (whichever you want, x or z), until it looks like a stair step
double the width of the step(from front to back)
connect all the horizontal lines
Highlight upper right and lower left faces
extrude a given amount (use the tab key, and something like .3 to .5, for example)
space bar to deselect, then the front of the bottom, and the back of the top edges, highlight in face mode
extrude by the same amount
repeat as necessary
I went a bit overboard recently making steps, so I know it's easy to do..
you're coming along quite nicely in Wings, don't give up now..

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit
