Subject: What are the chances that I could find or get a building model like this...

Hey,
This pic is of a hospital in a game (exterior obviously), and I was wondering if anyone knows of any models that are similar to this, or if I could get one made up? It's perfect for what I'm looking for (even the textures are great), and even if I can't find one exactly like it, I'd still settle for one that's close.

Ah, I found some good ones in here! I'd hate to pay for a full CD when I only need one model, though! Suppose there's no way around it, but it'd be nice. Thanks for the link :-)

Oh I don't know, if you contact Baument he may send it to you, he is a great guy and does help out alot. Has been around here a long time. Give him a hollar, you never know. Sharen

Hey Peacer... long time no see!! (My fault) How's this? I emailed you thr obj file... you'll have to texture it as it uses MAX textures in this pic and I can't redistribute them... also you'll need to size it accordingly for use in poser... sorry had no time to Poser-ize it! I just whipped this up from your pic, I hope you can use it... if not no biggie!!! I probably will! Later!! G

You know what? On second thought, I noticed that they're selling one CD with EVERYTHING on it at only $50, and I noticed there's actually a lot of models in the archive that I could find uses for, so I'm going to purchase the CD instead. Thanks again for the help!

Hey Ghelm, there you are! Sorry if I seemed too bothersome lately, but I'm currently in crunch mode to get Part 3 out, and the only remaining shots involve exterior Brookhaven! But now that you're here, how's the interior models doing? I really liked that hallway, and would love to fool around with it even if it isn't "Poser-ized" yet (as long as the different parts are saved as separate objects, otherwise I won't be able to texture them). Other than that, great to hear from you again.

Here's the same thing but in Poser... I suck at texturing as you can see... I scaled it up to 4000 and it looked ok with Mike 3 in the shot... I'll zip up the obj files for the hallway and fire them off to you Peacer!! Do you prefer obj or 3ds?? Let me know eh? Gerard

Ah, yes. The brookhaven hospital. Not as scary as the hospital in the first installment, but it came close.

Ghelm, Well if I'm importing it into Poser, as far as I know, it really doesn't make a difference (I could be wrong), so pick whatever you picked and I'll take it! Also, will these objects have separate pieces so I can texture them (not that the whole object, for example, is one texture)? I don't know of any other way to texture it otherwise :-( Oh, and one more quick thing: with the hospital exterior, could you by chance remove those doors (or at least separate them from the building)? I want to be able to open and close those doors... Other than that, it looks great! Send it through my email when you're ready :-) Sarte, I WISH I could remember SH1 hospital (it's been a while), then I'd be able to tell you my opinion. I think Brookhaven is pretty creepy though, ESPECIALLY in Silent Hill 3. I only wish I didn't know every nook and cranny of the architecture by the time SH3 came out, otherwise it would've been a whole lot scarier.

Check your mail Peacer... I propped it and zipped it and sent it on it's happy way!! I hope it's ok!! Post some pics after you re-texture it!!! Doors are seperate props now... Also you'll see no icons for it in the props folder... I'm using P6 and it doesn't make rsr's!! SOrry!!! Later!! Gerard

WEll peacer, It aint getting any better than this for me!! I sure hope you have more success texturing this than I did!!! You might want to try re-tiling the textures you use to get better detail as this stupid model wraps textures in a really bad way!!! Sorry, I hope it's not more trouble than it's worth!!!

Well the building looks fine, it's just that perimeter wall that looks kinda... not so fine :-) I don't need the wall though, but if it's already attached, I'll just put a bland texture since most of it will be covered up anyway. I sent you another email since I didn't receive the one with the attachments, so look out for that. I can't wait any longer!!!!!! That lighting makes the building look pretty creepy, though.
