I have downloaded some files with the extension .cr2.bin or .bum.bin . How can i use it ? if i rename this files, it don't work. What are this files .bin ?

Here's the files from a file called fetish.zip : Fetish Boot L .cr2.bin Fetish Boot R .cr2.bin Fetish Dress.cr2.bin

I had a similar problem just this week. Here's what MartinC said about that.... I trust he won't mind. I checked it and it is what I expected - the files are (accidentally) MacBinary encoded, which spoils them for the PC. Here you are even lucky because the files got the right ".bin" extension added to their names, but often Mac people ship them even without, and that spoils it for the Mac as well... (!!!) Unfortunately there is nothing I can do myself to prevent this, because it happens after my PC conversion with Maconverter when the files get zipped. I have a large warning in my docs which tells people to turn off MacBinary at any rate, but sometimes it just happens nevertheless. MacBinary is a rather ancient Apple encoding which is completely obsolete now, but the creators of .zip utilities leave it in for no good reason. A crucial part of the conversion depends on the different file systems, and the Mac file system is much more complex than the PC one. This means that a PC file can "live" on a Mac disk without damage, but a Mac file can't on a PC disk - and that finally means that both conversions must be done on a Mac file system. However, there is one thing you can do against the MacBinary problem. You can get the StuffIt Expander for PC from: http://www.aladdinsys.com/expander/index.html It expands both .sit and .zip formats, and (created by a Mac based company) it is aware of the possible encoding problems. You can drag an encoded file (no matter if it is correctly named "something.jpg.bin" or misses the ".bin") and it will remove the system garbage. Bill BBay.com
