I try to make a nice hairstyle for my Aila character. Just prop hair, combined with a texture i found somewhere(name is 'furry ice') which nicely gives the effect I want. It heavily relies on a displacement map.
Now here's the prob. The image is rendered in chunks with the size of the 'bucket. Apparently displacements originating in one charge of the 'bucket' do not show up in another charge. Consequently the hair is split up in squares the size of the 'bucket'. Increasing the bucket size to the size of the picture makes memory requirements jump to the sky.
Any solution anyone?
