I was doing this tutorial on how to make water inside of glasses and in the process found ways to make super cool looking glass tubes!
I didn't know what the positive/negative/neutral option was in the A panel, that's just amazing. It's kind of nice getting away from landscapes and all.
What I want to do after learning this is make a glass filled with a lake and in the middle have a floating island and have the camera aim and at an angle from the top.
Any other tips and tricks to make other parts of the program unlock? lol. Playing with negative/postive will make some pretty neat things like cutouts.

hmmm I'm glad that you discovered the little secrets of Bryce. Remember, click everywhere on the interface and once cliccked retry with alt, ctrl or shift... :) regarding your problem, tri to increase the transparency or try to decrease the specularity of your liquid material. hope it works

Your liquid doesn't show through the glass because the glass is too specular, and not all the way transparent. Or it could be your ray depth. Good luck!

OKay, I tried what you guys said. I made the cup 100% transparent and put the liquid transparency down to about 5.3 and it's not changing anything. Actually the glass was already 100% transparent.

What is the Refraction index of your glass? Regular glass is about 1.53, or 153 in Bryce. You really shoud read your manual, all of this stuff is in there!

I don't have a manual :( I got it off of ebay. What I meant to say in my last message was the transparency for the glass is at 100% and the specularity of the liquid is way down. I changed both the inside and outside glass items at "glass" at 153 refraction and it didn't change the outcome, lol.

And your Ray Depth? Do you have TIR on? What is the sepcularity of the glass object? On second thought, methinks that the reason your glass looks so white is because you have nothing else BUT white in the scene. Refractions pick up their color from the environment. That is why you are seeing the white haze, not because of any technical stuff... Clear glass has no color, whatsoever, in real life...!
