Pro Pack's Lightwave plug-in supports fully animated, morph targeted Poser figures and props, with all textures, at whatever size, inside Lightwave. This is the identical situation in Max as well. Steve Cooper Curious LabsLady Cherry posted Wed, 31 January 2001 at 11:43 AM

Cool. If only I could afford LightWave sigh I don't see this in the near future, though I did order the Pro Pack. Maybe I'll win the Lottery? Or get lots of new clients to pay for it. James

Newtek has been running a special deal- it may be over now, but I got Lightwave 6.5 for $995. In is an INCREDIBLE DEAL, when you realize you enter the high-end world of incredible plug-ins like Sasquatch (SEE LINK)used on the cover of the incredible Lightwave 6 book by Dan Alban, and the ability to do HDR (High Dynamic Range) Photo-Realistic renders... It's EXCITING stuff...TRAVISB posted Wed, 31 January 2001 at 1:22 PM
they still have it going on but i dont reconize any of the brands that they are talking about is sasquatch one of them ?

Sasquatch is a photo-realistic hair plug-in for Lightwave by Worley Labs. The main advantage of getting into Lightwave is the AWESOME plug-ins that people make for LW. With LW 6.5, Poser Pro-Pack, Sasquatch and Spatial Designs Terragen 2 Lightwave plug-in you could literally make an animation that would be of Super Bowl Ad - Major Motion Picture quality Mind-Blowing photo-realistic effects for a software investment of under $2000. Lightwave 6.5 is the "Blair Witch Project" of 3D software. There is nothing, including a Steven Spielberg - Titanic Movie type project that is not possible...TRAVISB posted Wed, 31 January 2001 at 1:52 PM
thanx fox i went to the site but they are asking 499 for it i seen it in the back of 3d world mag for 199 is there some where else thats selling it or isd there site not updated ?

You may be thinking of "Shave And A Haircut". It's another nice plug-in for Lightwave that does facial hair, etc. but all the reviews I've read say that Sasquatch is well worth the $500 if you are serious about real hair on people and animals...

Good question- I was able to get LW 6.5 because I owned Adobe After Effects (which I rarely used and is not the current version) However, by just faxing in the inside cover (Try the dealers like Safe Harbor- see link, or http://www.trinity3d.com, they will get you the $995 price) Frankly, if you know ANYBODY with any of the qualifying "upgrade" programs, ask them to help you. I am 100% against software piracy and sleep well because of it, but if you can get a good LEGAL deal, there is nothing wrong with it that I can see... If the dealers accept your documentation of having a certain program (they don't ask for the serial numbers) you can get it. Lightwave 6.5 is TOTALLY worth the effort. It is BIG LEAGUE software for only $995. I say "only" but it's an investment that you will not regret making...TRAVISB posted Wed, 31 January 2001 at 3:09 PM
i dont have after effects but i figur if i buy it i still come out ahead ican buy premire after effects and lw for 2000 vs lw for 2500

So if yer stuck on a comp that can't handle LW 6.5, yet still have 5.6, yer out of luck in regards to the Propack, eh?
