im using photoshop 7 can someone tell why i get the the cross arrow on the mouse curser and sometime i get the circle when i use the brush is easy i can see it, but when i get the arrow is hard can someone tell how i can change back to the circle so i can see it better. thank you

You should be able to go in the Edit menu, then Preferences, then Displays and Cursors to fix that. If that doesn't help, then I'm lost, too (smile).

I bet you had your caplock on. Having caplock on changes the cursor to the crosshair cursor.

Dreamer's on the money. the "CapsLock" key toggles between BRUSH SIZE and PERCISE cursor... happens to me all the time!! :) retrocity
