When I try to print out a Poser 6 rendered image I just get a blank sheet of paper coming from the printer, yet unrendered images print out fine. Does any-one know why this is happening? My printer is a Canon i560 and I have no problems printing out anything else.

Interesting. I have the same problem. Attempted to print out one of Trandsponds flowers, rendered on a white background and got a very light gray render with no flower. HP Laserjet 2100m.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Off the top of my head, it could have something to do with how the alpha is read by the printer. It might be better to save out your renders in another format, and print them from a painting program like photoshop. Rawn

You could be right, Rawn. I never tried printing from Poser so I thought I'd give it a try and see if I had the same issues. Apparently there is plus being extremly slow.

I never tried printing from poser either...but I know when I saved some renders as png's even they opened up a bit vague without a background graphic...so it might make sense that a printer would read it the same way.

Heh I didn't even know you COULD print from Poser. But I'd suspect it to be an alpha-channel issue too.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

Direct print-outs from Poser have got to be of a higher quality than from a saved JPEG using Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Could ernyoka1 or Rawn explain what they mean by an alpha-channel issue. This could be the key to the problem.

"Direct print-outs from Poser have got to be of a higher quality than from a saved JPEG using Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro." Sure, but if you save it as a lossless format (ie., PNG, TIFF, BMP) it makes no difference.
