Since i installed cyber patrol poser stops at the beginning of the launching of poser. It's not blocked or resricted by cyber patrol. But poser just starts for a few seconds and dissapears. When i uninstall cyber patrol everything is ok again. I tried some other parental software (forgot the name) hey same problem??? What is happening?

When you say "not blocked" is it specificaly on the permited list? Sorry to OT but what is good cheap parental control software? Is there parental control for e-mail that is client-side PC software rather than subscription server based?

I had the same problem with Norton Internet Security. I uninstalled Norton and with it my problems went away.

I de-activated Norton for my P6 install and re-activated it on restarting the computer. No problem when P6 opens except it wants to dial up Content Paradise. Does your security have a list of applications aproved to connect to the internet? I had a security that need an aproval list for applications just to run on my system (Poser for instance could be locked out or any other app).

Use zonealarm. Poser6 try to acces internet everytime you open it, block it with zonealarm and everything ok.

One curious question:
I have my computer used for work without internet, no modem, no dialup, no network, no IE, no firewall.... What will happen with Poser6 if I try to install it on my computer?, have I to desist buying it?

kawecki, you shouldn't have a problem. If there is no internet connection then P6 seems to bypass content paradise. It'll still be a tab on the program header, but will just be empty. The problem with parental contol software is PROBABLY, altohogh I haven't specifically checked, due to the fact that P6 calls thru the net to CP, but the Cyber Nannie programs hold up the start while waiting for CP to send the acceptable cookie. I doubt that CP is on the Cyber Patrol/Cyber Nannie et.al. good list and there for can't give the proper handshake so the process stalls. As adh3d suggests, use Zone Alarm to block P6 from the web. If it can't connect to CP the the Cyber watch dog programs PROBABLY won't hang it waiting for a confirmation handshake.

Thanks for the replies. Tried the zone alarm blocking. Blocking, allowing whatever it does not work. But it is clear that it has something to do with poser trying to acces the internet at startup. Any other suggestions?
