Are there any tuts out there on using python scripts? Seen refs to them from time to time for a few years now, and I know they exist, but I am not all that familiar with using them, so I guess its time I learned how to use em.

Not really. I attached a link to the Poser/Python forum section. Visit there and look at some of the posts for some links to some sites where you can learn Python as a language. Then from there, you are going to want to take a look at some other people's scripts to get an idea how Python works in Poser. After that, it's pretty much all trial and error.
