I've downloaded the trial edition of Vue 5 Pro and I've just had a crash and burn error (with the usual Windows report option) trying import a Poser scene file containing three V3 figures. I thought perhaps I could download a patch but these are only for full versions. Is three figures (plus uniforms) overly ambitious?

You haven't said anything about your system specs. RAM for example etc. There is a known memory issue indeed in Vue 5. But it should work with 3 Poser characters. What we normally do is to import them one by one and do the final positioning in Vue. There could be a conflict when you use three characters with different materials/textures. Problem with names that are the same in the three characters but with different content. I would try to check that out.

Windows XP SP2, Athlon XP3000+, 1.5 GB RAM Tried it again and it worked second time round, but some clothes came out untextured. Thanks for the advice.

I think this untextured issue could come from the name conflict. Or that the textures are not in the place Vue expects them to be. The problem with Poser files is that the pathnames are not complete. So other programs can have difficulties to find them if they are not in the standard places.

Though I have never experienced the "no texture" issue, I know some folks have experienced this same issue and with far smaller imports than you are attempting, Mark. walther has a valid point with the pathnames in Poser, so this could well be your problem...also depending on what these "three V3 figures" are wearing (assuming you are NOT doing NV'sIATWAS's)'-)...you could be looking at a file of anywhere from 100-150Mb which would be, in my experiences, probably a bit much for Vue to handle all at once? Soooo...by posing them all togeher in Poser and bringing them in one by each into Vue, again as walther suggested is the way that most of us will handle this. Oh! And one more thing you might want to try is deleting (via Poser's Heirarchy) any of Vicki's body parts that are covered by her outfit...assuming once again she IS clothed '-)! Hope this helps, steve
