Can I apply P5 materials using Mat poses to clothing? Is there a utility available to do this?

You can't in poser 5 but in poser 6 you can make one by collection or something I think that is what you do, but I haven't tried it.

Poser 6 (and I think 5 also) has replaced Mat poses with .mats which you apply by going to the material room, then selectr the mat from the Materials library and apply it the same way you do a Mat pose. It's basically the same thing, just in the material library instead of the pose library.

Huh? MAT poses still work in Poser5 -- and they can contain P4 materials, P5 nodes, or both.

They also still work the same way in P6, but there's also this new material thing that does the same thing.

What I want to do is to apply all the diferent materials to the clothing with one click instead of having to click on each material zone everytime.
wheatpenny posted Sun, 08 May 2005 at 8:14 PM Site Admin
You can use a regular MAT pose for that.

Yep, you sure can. The MATs would have to have node data in them for advanced material room settings, but for simple materials, ProPack MATs should work often. A utility? How about a free Python script? Top of the page, please read the instructions before using..

QuickMAT by hogwarden is a terrific product that will write a mat P4, P5 or P6 Mat file. It also lets you choos which material zones you want to have Mats for. It is a great product. Iwould be lost without it. cheerio lululeesteveshanks posted Mon, 09 May 2005 at 3:19 PM
