More than anything, I'd like a bezier pen tool that behaves like the one in Illustrator. In RDS it's practically useless; I always create shapes in AI and import if i need something more than squares and circles. Short of that, the ability to import AI version 8 or 9, and without the problems that accrue from not deleting swatches in Illustrator.

You should have been at the chat last night..very informative. The one thing that AC said that may have cemented my relationship with carrara for a long time is that amapi and nendo work along the same basis. Nendo is my modeler of choice but has some limits b/c its a budget program...if amapi is like a hyper advanced nendo then my biggest problem with carrara went away. That is of course after they fix the bugs :)

I'd say the pen tool in Carrara is pretty close to AI. AI gives more options on what you can do with a line (zig zag, punk-bloat etc.) but Carrara has great control. There is no good measurement control though. For super precision I'll import an AI file too. Mark
