It is only a curiosity, but I notice, in firefly render with raytrcer, this is I try, when you click render a scene , a little box appears in the screen telling you poser is loading textures, objects, shadows and then render scene, whe this box tells you "render ", push the esc key, the box window disapears, but the render go on, and it is a little faster than when the scene is rendered with the box.

Sounds intereesting. Just out of curiosity, have you run test render time comparisons? I'm sure there's probably some small amount of memory freed by not having the extra graphic on display, etc., but I would have never imagined the difference to be noticable. I wonder... once the display box is gone, how would you cancel a render, or know if it's completely finished? ;-P

I thought pressing ESC in the Render Dialogue was the same a pressing the Cancel button and that it cancels the whole render.

"I thought pressing ESC in the Render Dialogue was the same a pressing the Cancel button and that it cancels the whole render." I thought so too, actually, but never tried it. Well, I guess canceling a render certainly would help it "finish" faster. ;-)

I believe that is one of the bugs in P6. That when you hit escape the progress box disapears, but it keeps rendering. It is supposed to cancel the render.

Yes, in Psoer 4, if you push the esc button was equal to calcel render, but in poser 6 not. I haven't made test render time comparations, but it is noticiable without them. A little faster , not something brutal.
