Excelent! I was wondering when you were going to get around to doing a Huey. Will it have various weapon options, like a door gun?

Dave-So - it could do. Transmapped glass bullet holes OK ? I'm on vacation in a few days, but if anyone posts a cool suggestion like this. I'll try and make it on my return later in the month. EricJ - your wish is our command :)

Yes! This one goes on my short list of things to buy! Door guns fully posable?
mrsparky posted Mon, 09 May 2005 at 6:38 PM
Dave-So Thats a good idea. where do you suggest the battle damage should appear for accuracy ? If it's too shot up - would it still fly or would you prefer a downed bird. Al

here's a blurb that explains pretty much what happened...small arms fire. I used to work on low flying aircraft..they often came back with holes through the bottom...also sides, but they were at an angle coming from the ground... usually just a round hole where the bullet goes through... they used to rivet a small round disk to cover the hole...size of a silver dollar or so... rarely windshield hits...of course the hueys took more ground based fire when they went in, as did the planes...but mostly from groundfire while flying...

Very Nice looking Huey, Only thing I see with the War Ver is its color is off for Vietnam. Could be just the lighting
mrsparky posted Mon, 09 May 2005 at 7:40 PM
Dave-So. Thanks. I'll look at that when I get back. Take it from your post ex-service ? JFandL. You could be right on both points. While theres offical standards and paint charts. In the real world nothing was ever that precise. I recall painting a bailey bridge from one end and met the other lads in the middle. Same cans of paint from the same truck, but a two-tone bridge. Al

mrsparky ... don't forget a medevac texture.
William posted Tue, 10 May 2005 at 3:34 AM
Excellent. Glad this finally got off the wishlist. Do you supply blank texture maps? I'd like to do an aussie camo version.
mrsparky posted Tue, 10 May 2005 at 4:22 AM
meselfr: Thanks. Little_Dragon: OK. To the best of my knowledge and references is that just the red cross on 3 white panels on side doors and front ? William: More than. The "super seam guide" with panel, rivets and guide lines took nearly 3 days! With this you'll be able to do a camo map within hours. Plus the seam guide has an easy to use rivet "making system". The model will be avliable soon at VP, content paradise, here at rosity, 3DC, and other fine virtual stores. Even though I'm vacationing, [it's a hard job but some has to do :)]. Keep posting suggestions here, one of the VP team will pick them up and the textures will be made later.
