I am thinking of uploading some models to the online store. From what I can see Poser appears to have one of the largest and healthiest user bases on Renderosity. My questions are - What type of prop models are in most demand? What file format is best for your needs? What is the maximum prop file size manageable? Would a high detail and low detail version of a model in the same package be of value? If there are any other factors that are relevant I would be very interested in hearing from you. Shane

I haven't purchased anything from the store yet, mainly because there are so many free models out there. Nevertheless, I'm lookingfor high-quality models of guns that could be used in a Wild West setting (America, 1865-1905), particularly six-shooter revolvers. If you have any good models, that actually have articulated triggers, hammers, and revolving bullet cylinders, let me know. Here's hoping other members can answer the other questions you posted.

I've seen some good 6-shooters around... the problem is remembering where. One place that would have them (or at least one) is on the bottom right panel here at Renderosity. That would be Baumgarten Enterprises. Actually I've been working on assembling my own Western character and there are lots of pieces around, if you look for them. Horse tack (nice saddle and bridal stuff) at Poserworld.com. I have especially wanted to create an authentic looking Cowboy- scruffy beard, battered hat, hand-rolled cigarette, etc. Have considered Mike as a candidate... The one item that is missing is a set of Chaps. Leather chaps on a cowboy with faded jeans and the rest of the gear would be totally "classic" I think... (By the way- there is also a GREAT War Horse now. IDEAL for the Masked Man and Tonto. 3DComic Collective- how about it???) Hi-Yo Silver Awaaaaaaaaay!!!

I think some authentic Western characters would be great. I've got some Chaps, by the way. Forget where I found 'em, but I suspect it was over at PoserWorld. Send a personal e-mail to me and I'll send 'em your way. mmitchell_houston@yahoo.com Adios!

I can offer my experience if it helps. -Fantasy and sexy stuff is always in demand. -Romance products sell less at first but brings more customers in the end. -Stick with obj files. Many people want to remap without exporting from other files formats -Professionals using poser are very loyal and constant customers but expect hi-res evrything that's versitile -Most people do not want low res. We have so much of that already. -Props that either swap geometry or have materials that can make them look like other items. -Props in bulk with related props(cigarette and ashtray, and lighter and pack, etc) Overdetailed read me files a must Include textures or it won't sell as much as it could. Uv map the hell out of it Include templates
