Short of joyning a class, what can one read to become, at least within a certain degree, moderatly comfortable with the program? The indispensable tutorials we are lucky to find are extremely helpful, but can be time consuming and impractical (eg. access to the net), and limited in general content. I,ve seen some handbooks on the net, but I find it difficult to know exactly which one would be worthwhile reading (better not menion the poser manual). Is there within the Poser community written records considered to be the "Holy Bible", the "Sacred Writings", the...(Ok you get the picture), of Poser??? Would love to know. Without sounding too blase` about it, the best way is to arm yourself with a couple of tutes, the manual and then just play with it really. You can't beat getting in there and trying things out and you'll NEVER be on top of it because when you think you've got it all, you'll discover something else that you can do that you never thought of. It's a great little bit of kit and higly addictive. If it was a class "A" drug, we'd all have overdosed already [lol]. Good luck! thefixer poser coordinator.

Although using online tutorials does require access to the internet, printing them and reading them offline does not. Admittedly, saving .html pages and the associated image files is a PITA. However, many tuts have the [printer friendly] option. I usually save the printer friendly versions with the Mac "Save as PDF" feature, leaving me with a single self-contained doc of indefinite length. I don't know if thats a PC feature. The Dr Geep tutorials are quite explicit, and can also easily be saved for offline viewing. They are solely images, so there're no text formatting issues.
