I'm poking around the market place and it's taking almost a full minute and sometimes more, in order to change pages. Forums are the same.

It's not just you, it acts like when a DNS server is frigged up, takes forever to get started and then finishes up at normal speed.

Well, I'm over 3 minutes trying to change a page right now. :(

Yes, it's been really slow for me the past week or so, too...I've noticed it in the galleries & forums mostly.
Check out my full gallery at Cliff-Dweller Artworks

Yeah, it's slow for me too. This has been happening for awhile. I'll click a link and watch the status bar show "waiting for www.renderosity.com"...and it waits and waits. Finally, rosity will do something. Sometimes it's so slow I'll just close the page and go somewhere else. I'm on DSL and sometimes its slower that when I had dialup. When they say they have fixed something or updated their servers, it just doesn't help.

Don't make me laugh! (as if!) This is the SLOWEST site I cruise regularly. Even then, I make as little use of it as possible (hardly ever look at the gallery, for instance). When it comes time for voting on contests, I sometimes get too frustrated and leave without voting because it takes too long to look at all the entries. I've been complaining about it for more than a year and there's been no change. (not that I expected one)

Yep, it drags like no tomorrow. A few lightwave guys came here about a month ago, to find out what the P6 hubub was about but they couldn't stand how slow the site was, and finally just gave up on it.
Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

Depends on whether I'm in a hurry or not. Wouldn't you know it, when I am rushed this place always managed to snail along, and yet when I have time it's like the darn road runner!! Lol!! I think it might determine on the time of day too, seems the more folks are here the worse it gets and probably depends on how many people are posting a once too. Either that or the poser gallery has another huge bombardment of big boobed Vickies weighing down the speed and shocks of this place to a crawl, lol!

Looks like im the odd one out then, mine takes seconds, and rarely takes anything near 10seconds to load pages from rosity, Im on a 512DSL line, so im not running at high speed either...hmmm... Perhaps it's your computers????? have you deleted temp internet files? cleaned your OS lately? or running everything from C:drive??? all contribute. or perhaps you are on the butt end of a DSL loop? who knows.
Getting old and still making "art" without soiling myself, now that's success.

Well, when I click on Google, IMDB, Yahoo, etc, and they come up in 1 or 2 seconds for me and then I click on R'City and read, "Waiting for reply" in the lower left corner for 10 secords or so, I apply logic and assume it's the site and NOT me and my cable connection.
