I just downloaded a bunch of textures from RDNA that work in my p5 material room. How can I make my own textures useable in there as well? I love playing with materials and would be thrilled if I knew how to get my own in there :-) Sarah

Just play around with the nodes until you find something you like and then save it by clicking on the plus sign at the bottom of the materials list. You should get a pop-up box and enter what you want to call your material in it. Then when you want to use it on something, select the object you want to use it on. Select your material and click the check mark. It should apply that material to that object.

I knew how to do that. I mean..what if I make a pattern in PSP...how do I get it into the material room so I can change the material on say, a couch? :-) Sarah

Save the pattern as an image that Poser can understand (jpeg, tiff, psd, png). Connect a new node to the Diffuse input of the root node. The new node should be of the type 2D->Image map In the image map node, click the Image button and browse to your image. Play with the material room (for instance, connect the image node to the Specular input and play with specular color and size, and/or connect it to the Bump input and play with the bump strength. When you're satisfied, save the material to the library.
