Does anyone have any settings for the subsurface scattering thing for P6 or fast scattering or whatever. I need to render someone holding a bright light nd thought that the fastscatter would be perfect but I have no clue how to do it and no time to hunt through all of the posts to find something sort of similar but not really. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I wonder if you might want to do a hunt for the gather node instead? The attached thread might be of interest.

I tried that once or twice and I musta been missing some setting since I couldn't really seem to get it to work. I mostly saw the glowing snake one that gave a setting and those didn't seem to do it for me.

In theory, in the material room, when you hit the "Add SubSurfaceScattering" wacro, it should automatically put the right nodes. After that, it's only a question of colors and intensity. For the gather node, they are two important things: - you must have raytracing enable; - the gather has a MaxDist value. Try increasing it until you get something. There is a tutorial for the gather node at RuntimeDNA. Don't have the link right now, but do a search for "gather" in the Poser6 forum. You will certainly find it !
