hello all i'm doing some poser animations with a Spanish sound that i wish to apply to a character using mimic. But it doesn't work that well. But i've been thinking that maybe if i approximate the spanish sounds of vowels with english combinations it would work better. will it work, like if i use the following combinations for the spanish A E I O U --> AH, EH, EE, OH, OO thing is...if i have Ah, EH etc..in one word, then they connect to other vowels and will make different english sounds.. so maybe it doesn't work.. like say "Quiero" in spanish "Keeehro"...i think that would produce bad results. will this kind of technique work to make other languages look better with mimic? like i want to do japanese later on. or what can i do? thanks

Spelling the dialogue phonetically for the text file can help, yes.

"Keeehro" may not produce the results you want. I'd think that example would produce something akin to "keyrow". You can try different phonetic combinations. Perhaps "Keyarrow". Or try seperating the syllables for better approximation. Try hyphenationed syllables.

Don't be offended. I find having weird phonetic spellings in the text file helps immensly even with english in mimic. ^_^ Japanese eh? Watashi = "What-ah-she". Yeah it could work.

Maybe you could use day-say-oh instead of key-arrow. But Japanese? Wah-car-ee-mash-tah.
