How do you apply textures in Poser 5? Also, I have downloaded some mat poses for V3 to apply some make-up and or tattos to her body or face, when I apply them to V3 they will appear either off center on her face or somewhere other than where they are supposed to appear. How do I fix this?

Do you mean textures for things (clothing or skin) that you have bought (IE: A texture for V3 Morphing Fantasy Dress or a Character addon texture)? For those you apply them in the Pose room. You go to the library/poses folder and once you have found the texture you want, click the single check mark at the bottom of the library window. As for the tatoos, have you been doing the "INJ body/face" for the character addon you have purchased? The face doesn't usually change very much, but the body proportions usually does, so if the tatoo was meant to be placed on a specific figure type, it might look odd if applied to a different one (IE: small hips vs large; thicker waist vs smaller)

Well, I havn't bought them, they are freebies and they don't come with injections(that I know of, and even if they did I don't have the body morph pack.) Some of the tattos just don't show up period, while some if ment for the stomach area will end up on the leg and some of the makeup textures end up and to the right of the face. What about textures that I make. How do I apply those

Have you read the readme file that comes with the file? I can't really help you with your own textures. I'm just learning that myself.
