Anyone done any 'boat' photography? In the proceeds of getting a small boat with onboard motor for a diff angle/perspective on wildlife etc etc...to go on our local nature reserves/lakes etc. Looking forward to it and having fun...in all ways!!!!!!!

LOL....a waterborne stalker:-D Judging by the fabulous shots you get on land, I can't wait to see the look of shock on the poor bird's face ;-)

Yeah Dave...should be fun!! Ya never know, they might even stop in flight for a peruse (I call it being nosey!)...reason I'm getting the boat is, mostly, ALWAYS at the wrong side of the lake where the action takes place...you know the scene!..plus the main birds tend to fly across the lake instead of beside it!!! Complete novice at boats etc etc...so, it will be interesting!!!...ya might even hear the splash...glug glug!

Haven't done it myself, but the photog at the link has a very sweet setup. He has a kayak type of boat, with a tripod type mount on it. And he can row around the lakes and rivers to get some awesome shots. I thought he had a photo of his setup on his Web site, but after looking around I don't see it. It is in his book, that I purchased from him, when I met him here in Meridian at an Art show.

If you are going to be taking photos on or near water...this may be a wise investment! (It's on MY wishlist as is that Kayak!) L8r! Joe
