I think I've heard of this before. If you put too much stuff in it, some glitch in the system flushes the whole menue. As Master Yoda would say: "Screwed, you are."

yup, you're screwed. I don't think this corruption can be repaired. however I don't think it's got to do with orbitals files. It's just some stupid bryce bug that pops up at times.

If you're on 5.5 there's something I'm just beginning to figure out, though maybe Jelisa would be able to give the real right or wrong of it. If you import something to your object library that was made elsewhere AND it contains a reference for an image based texture it appears to go looking for the reference to that texture and not find it. I've had this happen quite a few times now, and each time it was with object libraries that were picture based, for instance my whole XFrog tree library. It's not impossible to fix though. If you use export and import rather than copying the library into the presets folder with copy and paste it seems to cope better. Well, I hope it turns out to be the above problem which is fixable rather than the much more serious and unfixable thing that has afflicted 5.01 users as well as 5 when you get too big an obp library and the whole thing corrupts. Rayraz is right, those are final :(

Sorry this happened, but it also happened to me about 2 years ago it's a real pain but luckily I had most of the stuff backed up. I've sent AS an untextured version of the rock stack to see if this works. If not, well I'll do a tutorial on how to build one!

Well, I'm grateful for the download but I'd really LOVE to see a tutorial on how to build one. :)

This shouldn't happen in 5.5 I think Orbital's rocks are causing the prob. No offense, Orbital!

Go into the Objects/Installed folder and see if there is any Tmp. Files there... When this happened to me Bryce generated a bad File and when I deleted the Tmp file Everything was OK... But this was on my machine and I DO NOT RECCOMEND you doing that until you talk to DAZ..

I had a crash when I tried to install the rock stack too - tried in both 5.5 and 5 I was importing it into a virtually empty preset - only 2 others in there and they're still there after I restarted the programme.

Moongoat, you mentioned "If you put too much stuff in it some glitch in the system flushes the whole menue".....I've got a couple of blank object folders like thee above image but, there is only one item in each folder and i get the dreaded 'An unexpected error has occurred (object not found).' even though the file is in there and even if i try to import it from the import/export menu i get 'An unexpected error has occurred (damaged/invalid data)'message appears. Would this be the same thing as Omac2 is having?
