Hiya forum-folks!!! Yesterday i found myself playing around (maybe just a tad too much, i know LOL) with this photo...after a while i blended in another photo as well....and i think its safe to say its not considered a photo anymore....so if i were to upload this one....where should i put it??? All was made in Photoshop using filters, overlays and masks alone. The only time i used anything like a brush was when i used the burn-tool for some minor adjustments. So i wouldnt call it 2D, nor would i call it a mix of medium....why cant there be a section for Photoshop as it is for other apps like Vue, Maya, Terragen...and so on???? Where would you suggest i put it? Andreas #:O)

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

it could be in photo or mixed media(photo/ps)... this could be done in the traditional darkroom... see Tedz's surrealism thread & links to surrealistic photo galleries... in viewing works in MM/2D, many of them made from the artist's own photos too, more emphasis is put on postwork & may be appreciated more there without upsetting the purists but then this type of work IS a part of modern photography & won't be moved... it's up to you Andreas :] think it's a fine play of layering & mood

Thank you Cindy #:O) Ive gotten the feeling that it doesnt matter really how many photos you blend into one, or how much you apply light-filters or lensflares or what not...its not until you apply a filter that give it this kind of 2D-look when youre out walking on thin ice, LOL. So i thought it was best to ask in here before i make an ass out myself.

Photomanipulation definitely is missing from the gallery options! I would post this in 2D but that's just me! ;)

If it looks like a Photo....be comfortable to where "YOU" put it... please Yourself....and not everyone else :] Over 100 Years ago...yes...I do remember...much was done with "Smoke & Mirrors" that was the PotatoShop of the Day. A fine Image.

I really like what you did with this image Andreas.... no advice on where to put it..... simply where you feel it's best and it follows the guidelines, right? :~)

I am, therefore I create.......

Very beautiful 'playing around' buddy :o) No complaints from me either if you decide to put it in the photography gallery. I dont think there should be a different gallery for photo manipulation, if anything there should be a seperate purist gallery ;o) Have a great day, Jeroen
