Okey, I'm using vue 5 inf, I've gone and downloaded some DEM files, got them into vue and it looks like there is a 'wall' around the terrain. Any ideas? regards Sentinal

From this screenshot, it seems you used the terrain editor to import your DEM. The manual says you should import it with the import object menu.

Oh, I tried it too, and same problem, but it seems that if you use the clip slider in the terrain editor, you should be able to get something decent.

A couple of other options (this noise thing has always been irritating) use a freebie program called 3dem to crop down the dem so the bad data on the edges is cropped out, or use the dig tool in the terrain editor to manually dig down the wall.

Thanks for all the help, I've just got a hold of 3dem and I'll be trying it out later. regards Sentinal
