Can I ask that without upsetting some of the merchants? I don't mean what looked the best, or even so much as what provided the most utility (though feel free to respond to those concerns, too, if you like), but what has proven over time to be the most versatile.

For myself, I can't say that I have any particular favorites. I do, however, find myself useing the more relaistic skin textures more ofthen than any of the other gazillion I have. When I say realistic, I don't mean "super model" real, but real people real. I do always find myself going back to MaskEdits Freckle series, and my current favorites are ONYX by ExprssnImg and GAZALI by solarisonline - simply because they aren't "beautiful people" skins. They're ordinary folks! When it comes to hair and clothes, I'm very picky. For clothes, I almost always go Dynamic - which finding quality products is difficult. Hmann is one of the best merchants for these. Otherwise, I'll make my own using 3DS Max and the Cloth plugin. Getting quality hair is also a must. Normally I try to create my own dynamic hair. For prop-based hair, I think the Sassy Hair II is one of the best. There's nothing worse that hair with noticible angles in the bends. I've also used the DAZ gel hair prop quite a bit - no moving parts! :)

Genesis Hair by Kirwyn. It's not just a hair prop, it's a tutorial. And a utility. You get a hell of a lot for the price, and you can use it to make your own dynamic hairstyles - even if you thought dynamic hair didn't work on your computer.

Aside from V3 and other must-haves, I personally like 3Dream's hair, Baron Vlad Harkonnen's clothes (just wish they were UV mapped), and Morris' V3 textures. Quarker's hair is excellent too (especially Grace Lion) and any of BAT's stuff. I don't own any of Pretty 3D's clothing sets yet, but I'm really tempted because of how well they morph. :) If you're a DAZ Platinum member, you can't go wrong with the Joan of Arc set (and it's extra textures) and the Gargoyle Hound. Oops, forgot to mention the Temple Ruins set from DAZ (by the Hankster). Very cool set, and extremely cheap when you're a Platinum member.

Lights--Smitthms and Blackhearted I use a lot as well as RDNA's freebies. Clothes--Can't go wrong with As Shanim's, lots of morphs for flexibility. Batlabs and Baron's are very nice for the price! ElorOnceDark's ArtemisX Props--Danie and Marforno rocks! Jpeter's special effects! and Stonemason's and Daveo's Sci Fi scenes Backgrounds---Placebo I've used a lot. RDNA's IC3 ground is sweet with it's morphs. Hair--3Dream, FKDesign, Quarker, Lisbeth... Textures--Gwendolyn. D&M again. RDNA's EyeZ Poses--Ilona's body language sets are a nice collection for V3. Wyrmmaster's spell poses and As Shanim's poses and Schlabber's. Utilities--Face-Off's real skin shader. Figures--I use Vic3 and Mike3 a lot. Ok, I think that's my list.

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned the textures from Morris. Katie, Lori and Sierra Sage are all great. I also like the Silent Smile texture by Compossmentiss. Could not get along without Vicky. And I second the thumbs up for everything from As Shanim. It's sort of like a thankyou speech at the Oscars ... I could go on but the music is starting and that's my cue to say goodnight. - D

Morphing Fantasy Dress. It's extremely versatile and there are a ton of textures out there for it that change not only the colour, but the look as well. It's by far the most used and versatile item that I have in my runtime.
