Well, I was playing around with the greeble dome in bryce ( Hadent done that before ) and didnt like it. To hard to texture nicely in my opinion. So I split it into sections. I hope this makes it easyer to slapp a texture onto it. maybe I try to split more in time.

i've downloaded those, they're fantastic. did you actually make them with 3ds or...? drac

looks like blender script discombobulator (is included in the download) i tried it again to make this halfdome in under +/- 30 sec looks close he? Im amazed for a free app lol. if you want mine too drac let me know and i mail it to you.

Both greeble domes look awesome. I can see attaching them to a mother ship or space station. I did about 3 tuts in Blender. I find that the interface gets in the way of actually creating things. You spend so much time trying to find a specific function, by the time you find it, you've forgotten what you wanted it for. I've shelved Blender for now, until Wings no longer does what I want at least. I'm surprised Drac, YOU have a hard time with it. You figured out Yafray didn't you? I can't get my head wrapped around it.
