Is there a node or a script, or any way at all to blend the edges of matzones?? I really need it to be a smooth transition.

I'd say yes, but unless the UV maps for the two zones are convenient, you will need extra maps to drive blending.
Can you be more specific about what your wanting to do ?

I'm trying to illustrate my answer. Back in few minutes.

The two Simple_Color nodes would be replaced by any more complicated shader network of your choice.
The v_Texture_Coordinate variable node would be replaced by something more appropriate.
By convenient UVs, I meant ones where it's possible to describe the border between the zones mathematically and so be able to setup a network to create the required gradient.
For zones in a figure, you are going to need greyscale gradient maps to drive the Blender.
Am I making sense ?

Neftis, how did you get that great translucence on Elle's ears?

Either that, or use the blur, heal and spatter tools in Photoshop.

nruddock it works!!!!!!!!!!!! I did a map for the uv and now it blends just perfect!I am making a final render now...but in the test renders it really works...now the most complicated will be to fit all those skin nodes!!!LOL but I guess it will be ok. THANKS again for your help!

Great work neftis. I have to install my P6. These ears look awesome. Thanks for the tut nruddok. Seems there is much potential in the material node system.

I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

In case you haven't seen this post, there are ways to economise on the number of blend maps that you might need.Casette posted Sun, 12 June 2005 at 4:26 AM
bkmrk Nef, stunned with the ears ... please, I need the settings ... is a scattering node applied to the entire head, to a zone???
