Hello! I have serious probems with poser and my upgrade pc. I`ve installed a new mainboard wit an amd atlon 64 3200# processor. Since then poser is crashing every time I'm trying to start it.A bluescreen appears and windows is rebooting. Is my new pc too fast?!? Kind regards ts

Did you also upgrade your graphics card?? If so, make sure you have the latest drivers. Usually you can find more recent drivers on the manufacturers site than the one delivered with the product.

It is the same graphic card ab before, but I#give it a try. Thank you for your hint.

Bluescreen crashs sometimes have to do with MB/ RAM compatability. No such thing as too fast. MB website should list recommended memory and memory speed.

Hi Nine5de, Just checking for the obvious. When you say you "installed a new motherboard" did you then re-install MS Windows completely afterwards? If you left your previous windows on the hard disk then it is probable that you have all sorts of wrong low-level drivers from your previous installation that would make windows unreliable or even fail to boot. If you did re-install windows then I tend to agree with the earlier posts that you should check the following points (in order): a) get latest graphics card driver b) check the bios settings and timings for your CPU and your memory c) perform a bios upgrade if there is a newer one available especially if your CPU has a very recent core revision d) is the power supply suitable for the CPU / motherboard / video card combination Hope you get it sorted, as these problems can be a real pain.

I had that happen, it was a bad memory chip, as suggested above. If you have more than one chip try removing them one at a time and see if it still crashes. Or try slowing down your memory access speed settings in the mothrboard setup.

If all your drivers are OK, it is most probably about memory timings. I had the same problem. In my case everything worked fine but the cloth simulation. It just locked up. I adjusted my memory timings and everything works fine now... Nforce3 and 4 boards have a lot of memory parameters. If you are using your old RAM, you might need to work on them...I had to switch my sticks and adjust the timings to get a stable system at 2.25 Ghz with my Winchester 3000+ (Yes it it overclocked from default 1.8 Ghz)

Thanks for all answers! A friend of mine foungd the most "easiest2 solution:de-installing Windows Servicepack 2! Sice then, everything works fine.

Ah, I doubt it that is a cause of blue screens. Dollars to Donuts you will see this problem again.
