I see alot beautifull and amazing images here , so why not try to submit in there ? thankx

Ballistic Publishing owns CGNetworks (CGTalk.com, etc.), and most of the works published in that book are from artists who submit their works to CGTalk. Since Poser is rather frowned upon there, I doubt many people here would care to bother. Would be very cool, though, if some Poser imagery got in. I know Rochr had some of his awesome Bryce works published in Expose, so it might be worth trying. Maybe some day, if I ever come up with a "great" scene, I'd give it a shot.

"so why not try to submit in there>" Because most of the "beautifull and amazing images here" can be made by any fool (sorry to say so) who knows how to use Poser. At that site it's real art, people have actually created those models and that's something very different of what most of us do here. Not that we need to be ashamed of what we do, but it's not up to those standards at all. Most of the Poser images shown around here are crap compared to those. No offense to anyone meant, I'll included my own creations. My stuff is crap compared to that stuff, but I do like my crap anyway.

Food for thought.....

I hate snobbery in any form, and although I hate to disagree with you aeikema, there are many artists here who can do the work that compares, just because you don't see it in the galleries doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Marque

I'm not disagreeing with you at all, but we are talking about the artwork in the galleries here! Message edited on: 06/13/2005 08:56

You cannot compare the stuff we do to that in Expose'. I have Expose'1 and Expose'2 and I don't think there is any image in there which is not better than most I've seen(here).

Not buying it. It isn't the tool it is talent. If you did a render and told them it was done with Poser, I have a feeling it wouldn't even be considered, based on the tool, not the art. If we only aspire to those things we can never have we are more apt to give up. I for one have never allowed anyone else's opinion, although heard and carefully considered, to stop me from continuing if I feel strongly enough about it. And thank goodness we are allowed to voice opinions, all of us, no matter which tool we use. Marque

"Real Art" isn't determined by whether or not you make each item yourself, it's what you do with the tools that you have.

I have Expose'1 and Expose'2 and I don't think there is any image in there which is not better than most I've seen(here) One reason for that is probably that one does fill an Exposwith the the best images, not the crappiest ,-)

I sad hear about that ,but graphic art is like a song , no matter you make with accoustic guitar , Loop , electronic equipment , playing phyrigian or Lydian scale or even cubase and ProTools . If nice and amazing ,its should appreciated It said like , " HEY.. Trent .. you not allowed in music`s world because your song make using ProTools ,or Hanz Zimmer you cheated me with Giga Sampler ..!!" But rules still rules Thanks

At that site it's real art, people have actually created those models and that's something very different of what most of us do here. You so obviously have never viewed a Ravnheart or ToxicAngel image here before. Not to mention the work of artists like Skooldaze, Rhiannon, Ferguson, rjghise and the multi-talented Stonemason. Any one of those people are AS good as those published in the Ballistic books. Don't judge the few by the masses please. There ARE talented artists here, you just have to look a little harder to finder them.
