When I import a background image, I am able to move my poser figure anywhere and the background stays put. However, when I use a prop backdrop and try to move my figure, everything else moves as well. What can I do to keep everything locked so I can move my charater? I have tried "lock actor" on both the figure(in order to move just the back drop) as well as the backdrop itself. Not sure what to do. Thanks for your help :)

You should just be able to load a square from your default props... size as needed and apply your background image to it. You can then move both the square prop and your figure independantly from each other.

Depends on what you are aiming for. If you want to keep the background prop in the same position relitive to the camera, then you could try this. Select the camera you are using, double click on the 'Scale' dial, set the Min and Max Limit to 100. Then parent the background prop to the camera.

I apologize but I don't understand what either of you said LOL. What I am trying to do is, I have a character in a room and am trying to move her forward in the room and keep the back walls and table where they are. Thanks :)

You need to select your character [body] and use the "z" dial to move it backwards and forwards, the "x" dial for left to right and the "y" dial for up and down. Not sure if that's what you're after but I think it might be!! thefixer, poser coord.

It sounds like you are moving the whole scene around. Try just selecting the figure's 'body' and then try moving that around.

To move the figure, select it in the Figure menu (below the document window), then select its 'Body' from parts menu, then use one of the translation dials in the paramiters pallet.

ah well, I had a 'naysay' method; render the picture with the prop background, save as a jpg, then start over with the figures, and bring the pic in as a background..but I'm different that way..;)
