In this instance defiantly the sepia for me. This one is lovely too, but like the softness of the sepia version.

i agree here - the sepia version is more intense... "mas more mood".... anyway - this one's also interesting... i like to see what came out here... there seem to be more contrast in the sepia toned one... thanks for showing, dear moni :)

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when
isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is

Very lush and green, quite a contrast to your gallery image, which I prefer. But seeing all the comments saying they like this one better, I guess it just comes down to a matter of taste. I do know I'd love to be there! :)

oH!! Well now....mmmmmh! Strangely, I think I prefer the original too here! And God knows I'm a sepia fan but on this particular case, I think the original is just awesome as it is and has such a fantastic mood already! But...I love them both! Yep!

If I were to choose I would pick the sepia one. Mostly because the two treetrunks in center are (in part)lost in the darknes near the ground in the color version - but that can probably be fixed with some minor tweaking - and then I would have a hard time choosing.

I have to choose the original - the sepia has a bit of the infra red look to it, and for me falls between the two camps.

Gotta say,I prefer the sepia. It elevates it to something much more than a pretty shot of a tree.IMHO of course!

I always kind of like original nature shots the best, but I am too undecided on this. Both have a great impact for what they are. One reminisces, the other feels naturally peaceful.

Thank you guys! I see it's just a matter of taste or the mood one is in smiles as each version has it's own mood. So I guess it wasn't only me to be unsure which one to post LOL Glad you liked both!

Well, what can I say. Curiosity got the better of me. For what it is worth, the colour version is perfect and nice, but it is just another colour photograph. Sorry. The duo-toned version is more deeper emotionally. It made me stop and think. As I always say, colour is emotional and B& is intellectual. Ah, a contradiction here maybe? No! Colour is a momentary emotion, B&W makes us think and in the duo-toned version I feel a deep connection, an emotion to the past memories of childhood. Stories of heroes and gods.
