Hi, I just got Vue 5 Infinite and found that the terrain export for Lightwave only exports the bump map even though I select the color maps also. When will this be fixed as that was one of my main reasons for spending $600.00. It seems to export plants fine. I really need this feature to work. I have the latest patch installed. 5.07XXX. Please help.

I seem to recall having problems with this as well. Try reducing the resolution of your color map export. (Can't recall if that solved it for me or not, but for some reason I think it did.) It's worth a shot...

Just tried it here from the file menu and its working as it should. If you use the export from the terian editor then I found it puts the bump map in the colour channel (in cinema) I just had to reselect the colour map and it worked ok. Will have to put this over to tec support. videodv.

The Lightwave export doesn't even create the color map!

In my tests I used the sandstone mat and I got the terrain.lwo file plus three texture maps one called terrain (terrain bump?) the second was the bump map for the sandstone mat and the third was the sandstone colour map. See attachment. videodv.

I have just done a few more tests and let me say sorry about the above post it seems I forgot to delete the maps between test and you are right, if you use the export from the terrain editor it will not export the colour map.

But if you hightlight the terrain and use the export object from the file menu it works as it should, and produces the colour and bump maps.

Sorry again for my mixup.

As videodv says above, if you highlight the terrain and then select export object from the menu then it works perfectly. Here's a very quick one from VI to LW8.3:
