Yep, the little lady finally got a freebie just for her! The Warrior Woman set contains a conforming dress and smart-prop sword.

And just for fun, here's a pic of the lady in action. ;)

Anthropomorphism in action. :o) Interesting that a female so totally alien otherwise would just happen to have breast like appendages of the same shape an location as a human female. Considering that almost no other female animal on earth except gorillas and chimpanzees have these, and then only when these animals are nursing.

On the other hand, I've got aliens in Free Stuff that are so weird you'll go, "WTF?!?" ;)

That's good. I know it's due to budgets, having something
we can identify with, and other considerations, but it's
sort of amusing that aliens in movies usually end up looking
so human. When they would have evolved under totally different
conditions. Heck, insects have less in common
with us than the average space alien.
Even odder are the ones that mate with humans, when
likely they don't even have anything resembling DNA.
We have more in common genetically with a carrot than
we would have with a being from another planet.
Hey, I'm not complaining, just having a little fun.

JMS (creator of Babylon 5) always maintained that perhaps the reason so many aliens look very "human-like" in shape is because nature/evolution/whatever has determined the "two arms, two legs, one head" configuration to be the most advantageous (for whatever reason). Dunno how plausible that is but it always worked for me. :) BTW cute image x2000!

It's a little thing called artistic liberty.;) Personally, I like the really weird (and far more realistic) aliens, but a lot of people don't. The simple fact is, the anthromorphic types sell better. And if they're a little cute (or scary), that doesn't hurt either.;)

The anthromorphic types can often be more fun, though, just because they are so humanoid. Replace the Darcassians in "Unwanted Guest" with, say, a couple Yua, and it would lose some of its charm. I'm not sure why, but it's true. I guess maybe its because humans are just so self-centered that we find it hard to identify with something so different?

And anthromorphic characters lend themselves better to social commentary (one reason, besides budgeting, that they're so prevalent on Star Trek and such).

Plus, by looking like terrestrial creatures, you can always use them as products of genetic engineering rather than extraterrestrials (which is far more likely anyway).

And yes, I've thought a lot about this subject.;)
