Whats faster? A Playstation 3 or Dual QuadroFX4400's with Dual Dual-Core Opterons? That would mean you could have 8 32bit-Piplelines running at 2.2GHZ or 4 64-bit Pipelines with 2 128bit-wide memory controllers and 256kb of L1 cache and 4mb of total L2-cache. Thats almost 10X the speed of a basic P4

the Playstation 3 would be more efficient, giving faster performance. Although the dual dual-Opterons would give it a run for it's money on raw speed, the Playstation will do the one thing it's designed to do better than any desktop, hands down.

Yeah and its probably ten times as much cash. Do you want to speed up your render times or something?

the dual Opterons, they are small and light and aerodynamic enough that you could flick them like throwing stars at a pretty good speed, but you accuracy and distance will be lousy. Although, if they go with a slim case for the PS3 like the new formfactor on the PS2's, and you threw them like a frisbee, it'd be moving pretty quick and really hurt when it nails the guy across the room.
Neither, they are both fictional, until they hit the shelves. xenic101 {really not helping here, am I?}
