I'm sure I'm not the first person to ask this question and probably not the last but here goes... Does anyone have any good tip/suggestions for trying to make Victoria 3 (or would the girl or Aiko be a better choice to use for this) look like a convincing Barbie Doll ? Secondly, I'm in need of a beautiful doll's house, something that would look lovely in a little girl's bedroom. The only one I've come across so far is the one which is included in the 18 Piece Child's Bedroom Set by elfie but perhaps someone out there knows where there might be others. Thanks! Doug

I think Aiko would work better, she is more leggy and skinnier, like Barbie. Victoria has kind of a big butt.

Nope. Vicky can only be a Big Boobed Barbarian With Broadsword ( BBBwB - shameless plug for image)

I think with a few tweaks on the old morph dials Staci would make an even better Barbie doll, as her body is most definetly the right shape for Barbie.. :-)

I think Glamorous Vicke would make a good Barbie, she already has the right kind of feet. ;-) I think Aiko would be better than V3, though. The Posette wouldn't make a bad Barbie either, I bet sombody already did a Posette Barbie.

My candidate is maybe Eternal Posette here in the shop with head magnets and morphs add. The EP figure is a Posette remap with smoothing morphs, the morphs can be moved to a standard Posette and they give a smooth plasticy effect. Narrow the waist, blow up the breasts, shrink the feet with magnets? The EP figure is $5 I believe. How about SuperModel Lori?

Maybe I'm opening a can of worms, but I'm sure everyone's heard this one: "what would Barbie's bust size be if she were an adult female?" It's interesting that no one can come up with a definite irrefutable figures. I've seen everything from 35-23-32 (5'9") to 42-18-33 inch (5'6"). I know Barbie figure has changed over the years, and varies even by region (the Asian model is less curvy). I'm not siding on any side of the issue. Just pointing out how math is not always as empirical as it should be.

I think offhand that 42-18-33 would be about correct. However, wait, I can tell you EXACTLY- One sets on top of my desk, keeping my wooden manikin company- She measures 11 5/8" tall, 5 5/16" - 3 1/4" - 5" (She is a flat-foot Barbie, BTW) So if she was 1/6 scale, she would be 5' 9 3/4" tall, 32-19.5-30. And they say Glamorous Jessi is thin!

The original model that inspired the Barbie was a German 'cupy' (sp?) doll, sort of an adult model. This was back in the mid-50's..I think. I remember seeing at least a 2nd-hand report done by some Women's Studies grad students about this (something about Barbie and Self-Image), back in the 70's..;) and the 42" figure seems more 'realistic'..if that's even possible..;)

Both Aiko and V3 can be Barbie, so choose one of the above!! They both have the same V3 head with different textures. Read my post if you want to put a V3 or SP3 head on Aiko. Also read Cyberscape's. It's pretty easy to do. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=2307572

btw - IIRC, EnglishBob did a nice knockoff of the retail packaging for a Barbie doll. (didn't look to see if he still had it available)

Wasn't me, but I remember seeing it - just can't remember where... :

There was an artist here named TWISTEDKID(sp?) who did some awesome renders that made Vicky look like Barbie. No kidding. The artist and the art have since vanished however.

That Gerald Day link came up dry for me but I just realized the figure that might do for you, dstephany. I just remebered that Arduino has a free figure called Cybergirl that is a Posette with the perfect form for you. Delete the sci-fi helmet and take off the chrome reflection map and I bet it would be exactly right for you. http://www.arduino.net/Freestuff.asp

An old pic my friend Viomar did many years ago... His attempt at 'Barbie'... ;-) No, he doesn't have the Box prop anymore(Before you ask). But, easily redone... Draco
