Hi Gang Is there any updates to this bible of Bryce as I have heard a rumour sometime back that Susan may be writing for the new Daz Bryce 6 but I cant find anything else on the subject? Finding the old book is even harder as many stores are out-of-print at the moment.

Also, some stores offer this book without the CD. Would I be missing a lot of info off the CD??

Well the cd has alot of the tutorials stuff on it, so when they say, 'locate the Abisko Pines scene....' you won't be able to to follow the tut by actually looking at the scene file....CD content
ChapterInfo- scene for illustration of book content(nice to have but not necessary)
Goodies-extra scene files, preset core dumps, filters, etc(nice as backups)
Portfolio- other artists work and some scene files of their well known works
Software-quicktime and quicktime show (never needed them)
Tips- a paper written by Susan with tips

Thankyou Jan, I appreciate the information given. I have noticed many prices for the books from around $54, even for the secondhand market at around $33 without the CD and in a very used state but, I have joined Peach Pit press free for a wonderful 35% off the book price, Got it down to $44 new!...........just got to wait for them to print it now LOL. Thanks again. Marc

Do you think that Susan will write a new book for Bryce 6 when it comes out?

Unless the entire app was to change drastically in 6, I don't think they will do a new book, maybe an addendum to RWB, because it covers all the basics in the software and advanced uses also.....generally, nope, they may do a 'revised' edition though

Strangely enough, I can get it for about $120 in Australia, or through Amazon for about $80 (including exchange rate/shipping etc). I've finally decided to buy it myself (next pay day).
Come visit us at RenderGods.

Mahray, why don't you get someone in the states to buy it for you USD, would be much cheaper....

Or better still, get someone to buy it from England, the exchange rate is very good at the moment....$1 = 1.72, this means i get the book for around 25....not to bad hey! Go straight to Peach Pit Press (https://memberservices.informit.com/buy.asp?isbn=0201354381&partner=20&cmd=add), join up for free and recieve 35% off the total price, they are the printers of the book. I like you have been going through the 'shall I buy or not' but I want to learn more so I've nicked the wifes purse!!!!
