Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
Well, if you have all of your file .exe's and .zips backed up somewhere, i would suggest just reinstalling everything in the new runtimes you want to make, and uninstall/reinstall the Poser program so you have the main files where they belong. And you could just install what you need when you need it. But you would have to have everything backed up, as I said, or at least the purchased stuff on file at the stores, but that would mean redownloading, what a pain!
Take a look at P Booost, also by Hogwarden, the writer of CRPro. P Booost allows you to create custom folders in the P-Booost window, move your content around as you choose, and change which folders are active while Poser is running. This works with P4-6, and is the best way to arrange your material. I believe it also works in multiple runtimes as well, but I haven't tested that yet.

Hi,
I have been looking at some of the poser support software products and I currently have a short list of 2 that seem to support the tidy-up of my over-stuffed P5 runtime folders.
The products that look interesting are:
P3dO pro
and
Correct Reference Pro
I guess what I really want to do is start to organize my folders better so that the runtime folders are smaller, better arranged and so that I can start to trash some of the rubbish that I have been collecting (e.g. old P4 mat poses when there are PP or P5 versions, and loads of downloaded stuff and junk that is not quite to my needs).
I am thinking about making a runtime for V3, one for settings, one for furniture and stuff, one for the blokes. But the multiply linked sets of files and embedded references make it a bit of a nightmare to just start moving stuff.
Any thoughts on what would be the best supporting software and should I be considering any other tool than my shortlist? I'd really rather just get one tool if at all possible.
Thanks for your help.
Jovial.
